Yurta Mira
(World Yurt of Peace) is holding the first International Festival of
the Peoples' Friendship and invites all cultural communities to
Toronto's Metro Hall, November 25-27, 2011.
Diasporas from
Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tatarstan, Turkmenistan, Kalmykia, Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Sakha
(Yakutia) Republic, Altai Krai, Buryatia, Turkey, Khakassia, Yukon,
First Nations of Canada, and representatives of Ryerson University and
University of Toronto will participate in this event.
Join us for:

Sacred throat singing by famous folk ensembles from Siberia's Khakassia
and other folk and modern music from different cultures

Exhibits of traditional costumes, photographs, paintings and books on
indigenous nations' histories

National dances
Yurta Mira is an
international not-for-profit organization established in 2007 in Canada.
It is dedicated to peace and friendship between peoples around the
globe. Founded by Alexandra Grigorieva, PhD, this organization promotes
the indigenous culture and traditions of these lesser-known nations.
